No data from nine states and the DF, Brazil records 35 deaths from Covid-19 in 24 hours

Brazil recorded 35 deaths from Covid-19 and 16,194 cases of the disease in the last 24 hours. The data belong to an update carried out by the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass), this Saturday (21).

Nine states and the Federal District did not notify new numbers regarding the coronavirus due to technical problems in accessing the information systems database, and that is why yesterday’s updates were kept.

They are: Acre, Amapá, Ceará, Mato Grosso, Maranhão, Minas Gerais, Roraima, São Paulo and Tocantins — and the DF.

As a result, the moving average of cases was 13,788 and the moving average of deaths was 94. The indices consider the average of infections and deaths recorded in the last seven days.

The data allow monitoring of the pandemic indicators without possible distortions caused by possible underreporting on weekends.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020, the country has had 30,778,607 Covid-19 infections and 665,528 deaths from the disease.
