The Moscow Department of Transport announced good news for the users of the Moscow metro. The agency has launched an open test of the Troika virtual travel card in the metro.

Virtual Troika works on smartphones with Android operating system and NFC support. Since January, testing has been held behind closed doors, and now everyone can join. To join, you need to register on a special page of the project.
Testing is carried out jointly with VTB, Google and Mastercard. Test takers require an Android smartphone with an NFC module. At the first stage, developers recruit a very small group – 500 people. For the test, subscriptions “United” for 30 days are available.
Head of the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development Maxim Liksutov explained:
More and more people do not carry plastic cards with them, so we decided to launch a virtual Troika in your smartphone. I invite everyone who wants to test this new opportunity and become the very first virtual Troika owners in Moscow. We look to the future and look forward to modern Muscovites who love technology and Moscow transport. ”
