The distribution of a gross dividend of 0.558 euros (in absolute amount) per share was decided by the regular General Meeting of OTE shareholders held on May 25, 2022.
The amount of the dividend that will be finally paid is the gross amount of 0.571033 euros per share, increased by the dividend corresponding to the 10,227,299 own shares that the Company will hold on July 1, 2022 (dividend cut-off date).
It is noted that according to the current tax provisions (article 64 of law 4172/2013, as amended and in force), the dividend to be distributed is subject to 5% tax withholding (with the exception or variation of the withholding rate for Shareholders who are subject to special provisions). As a result, the net amount to be collected from the shareholders will amount to 0.54248135 euros per share.
On Friday, July 1, 2022, the shares will be traded without the right to the above dividend (cut-off day of the dividend). Beneficiaries of this dividend are the registered Shareholders of the company in the files of the Intangible Securities System (DSS) managed by the “Hellenic Central Securities Depository” on July 4, 2022 (Record Date).
The payment of the dividend will be made on Thursday, July 7, 2022 by the paying Piraeus Bank, as follows:
1. Through the participants of the beneficiaries in the DSS. (Banks and Stock Exchanges), ie the beneficiaries will receive the dividend through their participants, in accordance with the applicable Rules of Procedure of EL.K.AT.
2. Especially in cases of dividend payment to heirs of deceased beneficiaries whose securities are kept in the Special Account of their Share in the DSS, under the management of ATHEXCSD, the dividend payment process will be carried out through the network of “Piraeus Bank Α.Ε. ” after the completion of the legalization of the heirs.
