Paul Tudor Jones became an investor in a new crypto fund with assets of $ 72 million

Rapper James Todd Smith, better known as LL Cool J, billionaire Paul Tudor Jones, ex-CEO of PepsiCo Indra Nooyi and head of the American company SoFi Anthony Noto have invested in a new cryptocurrency venture fund. Yahoo! Finance.

The new fund will be managed by Glenn Hutchins, head of New York-based venture capital firm North Island Ventures, Silver Lake co-founder James Hutchins, and Travis Sher, vice president of investment division at Digital Currency Group.

“We believe that cryptocurrencies offer solutions to some of the most pressing problems. Our mission is to support the best entrepreneurs in the world who make these decisions a reality, ”shared Travis Sher.

Apollo Group co-founder Josh Harris and former head of TD Ameritrade Joe Molla also became partners of the fund. To date, the fund has raised $ 72 million and invested in Dapper Labs (known for its CryptoKitties game), Nori and Axelar projects.

Earlier, the chief investment officer of Tudor Investment, Paul Tudor Jones, compared buying bitcoin to investing in early Apple or Google.
