A plane carrying cocaine base paste was found by the Federal Police on Wednesday morning (18) in a rural area of Santa Cruz do Rio Pardo (SP).
Searches are being carried out to try to find the pilot, who fled after landing.
The small aircraft came from a border region and flew over the west of the state of São Paulo.
A team from the Brazilian Air Force accompanied the route and had ordered an immediate landing at an airport in the region. The pilot, however, did not comply with the FAB order.
With the aircraft damaged, he ended up making a forced landing in the rural area.
The aircraft was located with the support of the Military Police helicopter.
Inside the plane there was a large quantity, not yet accounted for, of cocaine base paste.
Based on the prefix, it was verified that the aircraft had expired airworthiness certificate. The cargo owner will be liable for the crime of drug trafficking.
