Jason David Frank, who played Tommy Oliver, the Green Ranger, has died aged 49 in Texas, his rep has confirmed.
“Please respect the privacy of his family and friends during this horrible time as we come to terms with the loss of such a wonderful person. He loved his family, friends and fans very much. We will truly miss him,” said Justin Hunt.
Sources with direct knowledge told TMZ that his death was a suicide, however, the official cause of death has not yet been released.
Following the tragic news, his former ‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’ co-star Walter Jones said in a statement: ‘He was an inspiration to so many people. He will be greatly missed. It’s so sad to lose another member of the Ranger family,” said the actor, who played the black ranger.
