The National Congress promulgated this Tuesday (17) the Proposed Amendment to the Constitution (PEC) that raises to 70 the maximum age for choosing and appointing members of the STF (Supreme Federal Court), STJ (Superior Court of Justice) , the Federal Regional Courts, the Superior Labor Court, the Regional Labor Courts, the Federal Audit Court and the civil ministers of the Superior Military Court (STM).
Arthur do Val cassado
The Legislative Assembly of São Paulo (Alesp) unanimously decided, with 73 votes to 0, for the removal of the mandate of former state deputy Arthur do Val (União-SP). The politician, who will be ineligible for eight years, was tried for breach of parliamentary decorum for sending voice messages making sexist remarks about Ukrainian women trying to leave the country to flee the Russian invasion.
Fisherman dies after cyclone Yakecan
A 51-year-old man died in Rio Grande do Sul after the passage of subtropical cyclone Yakecan, which hit southern Brazil on Monday night (16).
