Covid-19 no world
The world has set a new record for the daily record of Covid-19 cases. In the last 24 hours, there were 3.28 million new coronavirus infections, according to the Our World in Data platform. It is the first time that the daily pandemic record exceeds 3 million.
Omicron in Europe
More than half of the European population is expected to be infected with the Omicron variant of the coronavirus in the next six to eight weeks. The projection was made by the World Health Organization (WHO).
Covid-19 in football
An outbreak of Covid-19 hits the main football clubs in São Paulo. At least 24 players are infected with the new coronavirus. Corinthians, Santos, São Paulo and Palmeiras discovered athletes with Covid-19 during the re-performance for training and medical exams.
Inflation hits the highest level in six years. The IPCA, Broad Consumer Price Index, ended 2021 at 10.06%. The result is above the ceiling of the target established by the National Monetary Council, of 5.25%.

The temperature is expected to exceed 40ºC in the south of the country this week. According to MetSul Meteorologia, the highest temperatures in Rio Grande do Sul should be recorded in the western region of the state. The area of the city of Uruguaiana may witness an escalation of heat, with maximums of 41ºC and 42ºC in the coming days.
