Restaurants in Rio de Janeiro promote actions to help RS

The recent floods in Rio Grande do Sul drastically affected thousands of people. More than ever, the state needs help.

Therefore, until the end of May, the TT Burger, Clan BBQ and Malta restaurants will have special dishes and products with 100% proceeds going to the A&B association of Rio Grande do Sul.

Pepo Figueiredo, chef at Clan BBQ, shares the behind-the-scenes of how this concept developed: “The action started from a conversation with Marcelo Malta, who had the idea of having a dinner, bringing together the two houses, to raise funds and donate to our colleagues in Rio Grande do Sul. Everyone there is going through an unprecedented tragedy and we thought we could do something.”

“So, I suggested that we put special dishes in our restaurants, as they last longer, have the potential to raise more revenue and we can include more people. Marcelo loved the idea and so we talked to Deco Meisler, from TT Burger, to plan the action.”
