Tao Awards 2021: all the awards

The suggestive Ancient Theater of Taormina was the setting, last July 16, at the awards ceremony of Tao Awards, the exclusive event that closes the taomoda week, counted among the major events of the Sicilian Region, sponsored among others by the Ministry of Economic Development and the National Chamber of Italian Fashion and created in synergy with the Regional Department of Productive Activities, with the support of the Regional Department of Tourism, Sport and entertainment.

Many prizes awarded during the evening. Among these, the awards for the Fashion category assigned to: Cristiano Burani, Gianluca Capannolo, Alessandro Enriquez and the creative couple of designers Marco Giugliano and Nicolò Bologna, creators of the Marco Bologna brand. But not only.

In addition to the stylists, there were several award-winning characters including: Piero Piazzi, manager and talent scout who received the Lifetime Achievement Award; Simone Marchetti, Vanity Fair European editorial Director and Vanity Fair Italia Editor in Chief at Condé Nast who received the TAO AWARD EXCELLENCE for journalism, while ad Antonio Guccione the one for photography. TO Piero Lissoni instead went the recognition for the design, an award received during the Taomoda Week.

Il TAO AWARD Donna… we are with you it was instead delivered to Yvonne sciò for her commitment to the defense of women and for how she was able to tell the world of women through the documentary Seven Women, a real journey through the confessions of Rosita Missoni, Rula Jebreal, Patricia Field, Bethann Hardison, Susanne Bartsch, Alba Clemente and Fran Drescher. Ludovica Casellati finally, it was awarded the first TAO AWARD dedicated to Sustainability, for its commitment to promoting tourism with a low environmental impact. And again, the TAO MUSIC AWARD 2021 was awarded, instead, to The List Representative (LRDL), the band founded by Dario Mangiaracina and Veronica Lucchesi which debuted at the last Sanremo Festival. Special Guest of the evening the supermodel Nadège, former muse of Gianni Versace, Giorgio Armani, Azzedine Alaïa, a face photographed on the covers of magazines all over the world, which received special recognition.

Another guest of the evening l’étoile Amilcar Moret Gonzalez, who performed in the Gala overture choreography to the notes of the soundtrack de The Queen of Chess, which was followed by the performance dedicated to the brands selected for the TAOMODA SICILY incubator, a project designed to export Made in Sicily and create a network thanks to the synergy with the Chamber of Buyers, the Italy China Foundation and the Russian Buyer Union in the world and carried out with the support of the Regional Councilorship for Productive Activities.
