American singer Taylor Swift arrived in Brazil in the early afternoon of this Thursday (16).
The plane that brought the singer landed in Rio de Janeiro between 12pm and 1pm.
In a press conference this Thursday morning, Eduardo Paes, mayor of the city, stated that the artist would receive a tribute in the form of a projection on Christ the Redeemer, one of the main tourist icons in the capital of Rio. The action should take place on Thursday night.
“Just to tell the Swifties that Christ the Redeemer will honor the presence of Taylor Swift in Rio de Janeiro tonight. Welcome, Taylor Swift,” he stated.
Before arriving in Brazil, Taylor was in Buenos Aires, where he gave three presentations and was surprised by the power of the audience.
Tour
The performances of “The Eras Tour” begin in Rio on Friday (17). The shows in the city also take place on the 18th and 19th, all at the Nilton Santos Stadium – Engenhão.
The following week, the presentations take place in São Paulo, on the 24th, 25th and 26th, at Allianz Parque.
