USDT stablecoin issuer – Tether – authorized to release 1 billion coins on the Tron network. The last time the company replenished its reserves was in July, when Tether issued 1 billion USDT.
Technical Director of the company Paolo Ardoino noted in its X (formerly Twitter) that the volume of Tron-based stablecoins is authorized but not released. According to him, this means that it will be used for further emission or swaps between blockchains.
In June, Tether authorized the issuance of 1 billion USDT on the Ethereum blockchain.
At the time of writing, the capitalization of USDT is $83.56 million, according to TradingView.
According to DeFiLllamaat the time of writing, USDT dominance is 66.81%.
At the end of August, Tether reported that it maintains a liquidity reserve of $3.29 billion, and the company’s consolidated assets are $86.1 billion and liabilities are $82.8 billion.
In early September, Paolo Ardoino said that Tether owns $72.5 billion in Treasury bonds.
