Unkillable Samsung smartphone with 5.3-inch screen and NFC declassified

Samsung is working on a new rugged smartphone of its popular Xcover series, which is due to be called the Samsung Galaxy Xcover 5. The first image of the devices appeared over the weekend, and now sources have published the characteristics of the smartphone.

The new smartphone will be equipped with a 5.3-inch resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels, although a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels was previously reported. The device will have 4 GB of RAM, and 64 GB of flash memory will be available to users.

The main camera is expected to use a 16 megapixel image sensor, the front camera will receive a 5 megapixel image sensor. The battery capacity will be 3000 mAh. The smartphone will meet the IP68 protection rating and the requirements of the American military standard MIL-STD-810G.

An insider who posted information on the Slashleaks thematic resource has more than 1,000 leaks from 80% confidence ratings.

The device has recently appeared in the Bluetooth SIG database, indicating an imminent release.
