US: Shocking footage of military helicopter crash into aircraft carrier – Three marines dead

A shocking video posted a few days ago captures the moment one crashed US military aircraft aboard a US Navy ship. and frightened sailors running away to escape.

According to Daily Mail, footage posted online on Saturday shows the MV-22 Osprey aircraft attempting to land on the landing ship USS Green Bay and eventually crashing due to technical problems. The video shows the moment when his department left engine of the aircraft crashes onto the deck, and the terrified sailors run away for safety.

According to the British newspaper, a short time later, the Bell-Boeing aircraft – carrying 25 Marines of the 265th Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron – made a 10-meter dive and fell into the sea. The hole opened in the cockpit by the impact caused the aircraft to flood and sink.

Three marines dead

The fact that the rescue operation began immediately resulted in the survival of 22 of the Marines aboard the MV-22 Osprey. The bodies of of three marines were recovered after a long investigation 12 hours.

They were 26-year-old Benjamin Cross, 21-year-old Nathaniel Ordway, and 19-year-old Ruben Velasco, who were unable to escape from the cockpit as it filled with water.

Lt. Col. Cross was one of the pilots of the aircraft at the time of the crash. In a subsequent investigation it was proven that neither he nor his co-pilot were responsible for the tragic accident as it was caused by a technical problem of the aircraft.
