USA: Employee killed and injured another because his sandwich had too much mayonnaise

In Atlanta of USAa 36-year-old man attacked two restaurant employees because the sandwich that he bought had more mayonnaise than he wanted. One woman died and the other is hospitalized…

The police authorities received the call and rushed to the store last Sunday afternoon (26/6) and after the 36-year-old attacked the two employees, shooting.

“It was a tragic event that didn’t need to happen” said the deputy head of the local police during a press conference. “The suspect entered the restaurant to order a sandwich and something went wrong and he became so upset that he decided to lash out at the two employees”he added.

According to the policeman, the reason for the irritation is that they had put too much mayonnaise.

The 36-year-old assailant was arrested. His name is Melvin Williams. According to the Fox television network, however, the weapon in his possession was illegal and furthermore he was out on bail following a previous conviction.

The medical examiner identified the deceased as a 26-year-old woman Brittany Macon, while a 24-year-old colleague of hers was injured, who is hospitalized. The injured woman’s 5-year-old son was also in the restaurant. The 24-year-old is now able to talk to her relatives.

“It breaks my heart to know that someone has the audacity to point a gun and shoot someone for something as small as too much mayo on a sandwich.” stated the Willie Glenn, co-owner of the store. He also mentioned that 26-year-old Brittany Macon was happy with her job for which she had been hired just a few weeks before.

The owners reported to the police that the perpetrator had visited their store in the past, without any problems.

There have been 74 murders in Atlanta since the beginning of the year, according to official police figures. A 19% increase compared to the same period in 2021 is recorded.
