Isabelle Adjani

«We thought this number of Vanity Fair, created together with the editorial offices of France and Spain, as a tribute to memory. On the cover three great icons of European culture. Each of them was portrayed as a work of art by Francesco Vezzoli. Francis embroidered tears of gold, silver and copper on their faces, able to sew their life with their history. Lights and shadows. Loves and dislikes. Successes and mistakes. Greatness and misery. Stories that we would like to be a symbol, a drop in the great sea of European memory. A memory that is not afraid of its past. A memory that does not want to erase but to understand, face, look life straight in the eye. Fearless. And uncensored, ”he said Simone Marchetti, European editorial director of Vanity Fair.

Angela Molina
