This year’s theme The change is you, stories that change the world. Many characters alternate on the stage who are an active part of the change: actors and directors, comedians and singers, writers, dancers, key figures of culture.
Among these too Achilles Lauro, who recalled the beginnings of his career: «At 12, 13 I already knew I wanted to do what I’m doing. I grew up among artistoids, musicians. I was lucky because at a certain point I realized that this dream could really become a reality. I understood this when I started to expose some of my feelings in the square, and it wasn’t easy, because I was talking – and I keep talking – about my personal and intimate things, the things that embarrass you. I realized you’re doing the right thing when you’re embarrassed. But I don’t think it was my courage, courage is that of a doctor, or of someone who decides to change his life, or of someone who faces life. We all have courage, after all, every day”
