THE Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro arrested, on Saturday (15), a man considered one of the largest bank thieves in the country . He is accused of participating in bank robberies in 17 states Brazilians. The arrest occurred in Campo Grande in West from Rio de Janeiro.
Video records show the criminal’s performance in one of the robberies he practiced. In the images it is possible to observe Denis Galdino, inside the safe, with the help of a partner opening the coffers.

Denis Galdino, 42, one of the largest Banco do Brasil thieves, was arrested on Saturday (15) in operation of the civil police of Rio de Janeiro and Santa Catarina.
Denis Galdino had been on the run since February 2024, after attacking a Santander Bank branch in Joinville (SC), and has criminal records in 17 states. He used fake documents, having “stolen” the identity of a Paraná journalist, who spent two years proving his innocence.
After breaking into a bank branch with other criminals and stealing almost $ 500,000, he was the only one to flee. He took refuge in the Penha Complex in the North Zone of Rio for months, protected by other criminals.
It was located by the police when planning a religious event, and investigations go to identify other possible crime involved.
