Xuxa will be an ambassador for the Ministry of Health’s vaccination campaign

Presenter Xuxa Meneghel accepted the invitation made by the Ministry of Health, this Friday (3) to be an ambassador for the vaccination campaign that begins this month.

The announcement was made after a meeting between the Minister of Health, Nísia Trindade, of Tourism, Daniela Carneiro, of Women, Cida Gonçalves, and the First Lady Janja a Silva, at the Fernandes Figueira Institute of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz).

The meeting discussed the importance of vaccination. Janja welcomed the invitation on social media: “It’s coming: a super partnership for the health of the short and short!”

The campaign is scheduled to start on the 27th of February.

Stage 1: from February

Vaccination against Covid-19 with reinforcement of the bivalent vaccine.

• People at higher risk of severe forms of Covid-19;
• People over 60 years old;
• Pregnant women and postpartum women;
• Immunocompromised patients;

• People living in Long Stay Institutions (ILP);

Stage 2: from March

Intensification of vaccination against Covid-19.

Target Audience:

• The entire population over 12 years old;

Intensification of vaccination against Covid-19 in children and adolescents.

Target Audience:

• Children aged 6 months to 17 years

Strategies and actions:

• Mobilize the school community, from Kindergarten to High School with two weeks of mobilization and guidance activities; communicate students, parents and guardians about the need to take the Vaccination Booklet for evaluation;

Stage 4: from April

Influenza Vaccination

Target Audience:

• People over 60 years old;
• Adolescents in socio-educational measures;
• Truck drivers and truck drivers;
• Children from 6 months to 4 years;
• Armed forces;
• Security and Rescue Forces;
• Pregnant women and postpartum women;
• Disabled people;
• People with comorbidities;
• Population deprived of liberty;
• Indigenous, riverside and quilombola peoples;
• Teachers and professors;
• Public transport professionals;
• Port professionals;
• Professionals of the Deprivation of Liberty System;
• Health workers and workers.

Stage 5: from May

Polio and measles multivaccination in schools.

Strategies and actions:

• Mobilize the school community, with two weeks of mobilization and guidance activities; reduce pockets of unvaccinated; communicate students, parents and guardians about the need to take the Vaccination Booklet for evaluation;
