The building of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation on Neglinnaya Street in Moscow was evacuated this Friday after an anonymous report about mining. According to emergency services, explosives specialists and cynologists with dogs arrived at the building.
“The Bank of Russia received an anonymous threat about mining. The personnel was evacuated, all the necessary services were called, an inspection is underway, ”the Central Bank confirmed the information.
RIA Novosti, citing a statement from emergency services, writes that “the attacker called because of bitcoins.”
To date, the check has been completed, information about mining has not been confirmed.
“The staff is returning to their jobs,” the press service of the Central Bank said.
On January 20, the Bank of Russia published a report in which it advocated a legislative ban on the issuance and organization of the circulation of cryptocurrencies in the territory of the Russian Federation.
